The Windmill School Celebrates Strong Ofsted Inspection Outcome

We are delighted to share that The Windmill School has been judged Strong across all areas in our recent Ofsted inspection, with safeguarding fully effective.

The report highlights the exceptional work taking place every day to support our autistic pupils and those who have often experienced significant challenges in education before joining us. Inspectors recognised the school's calm, welcoming and respectful environment, where pupils feel understood, valued and safe.

A School Where Pupils Thrive

Ofsted praised the significant progress pupils make from their individual starting points. Many pupils join The Windmill School following periods of disrupted education, low attendance or non-attendance, and inspectors found that pupils develop confidence, independence and a renewed engagement with learning over time.
